One of our experienced advisors will carry out a site survey at your home to assess your requirements. Throughout this initial consultation, we will be able to guide you on the best loft conversion options and layout that will best suit your home. After taking measurements, we will provide you with a free no obligation quotation.

Once you are happy with the specification and quotation, we will draw up an agreement to sign, which will mark our commitment to complete your loft conversion at the agreed price within a set period.

Design & Planning

If your loft conversion requires architectural plans, we can bring our reputable team on board or we are more than happy to work along side an architect of your choosing. We can help with building control and acquiring planning permission.

A typical loft conversion takes between 8 - 10 weeks to complete once the build is underway, providing there are no unexpected delays. You will have a project manager assigned to your loft conversion project, so you can review progress at any time.

Once you're project is complete and you're happy to sign off, we will ensure that you have all the relevant building control certification.

Types of Loft Conversions

This is one of the most popular types of loft conversion. It offers a great amount of head height and has the ability to add up to 50 cubic metres of extra space to your property. The dormer loft conversion is usually constructed from the slope of the roof, meaning that most of the work can be carried out from scaffolding outside of your home - minimising disruption to your interior. In most cases, Dormer Loft Conversions generally do not require any planning permission.
A hip to gable loft conversion can be carried out on properties that have a hipped roof (sloping side). They are mostly carried out on detached or semi-detached homes. The hipped end of the roof is extended into a gable roof i.e. a vertical wall, extending the internal loft space.
As the name would suggest, this is a combination of the two different types of conversions, resulting in a large amount of additional space. Planning permission may be required with this type of conversion.
A mansard loft conversion changes the structure of a sloping roof to a near straight slope at an angle of 72 degrees. Windows are built into the roof as small dormers or Juliette balconies are achievable using this type of loft conversion. The mansard conversion is usually built at the rear of a property and is often considered one of the most aesthetically pleasing types of loft conversion. Planning permission is usually required.
A skylight or Velux window loft conversion is one of the simplest and most cost effective loft conversions to build as the roof of the property is not altered in any way and only windows are added. This generally means that planning permission is not required. Although this type of loft conversion doesn't drastically maximise space, it does open the room up for more natural lighting.
